Penned, Ink was founded in January 2005 by April Lundy. Experienced in the publishing industry, April decided to make a change. Authors do not receive the attention and respect that they deserve from many publishing companies, and there is a consistency in the industry that strips authors of their individuality and their voice. When we are talking about the creative art of writing, this cannot be allowed to continue.

The Penned, Ink philosophy is that authors should be treated better. Our staff is comprised of individuals who are committed to making this philosophy a reality! We are writers, artists, and experienced professionals who are dedicated to making our clients happy. From manuscript submission to the delivery of printed books, we believe that what authors should receive, above anything else, is a great experience, and we are dedicated to making that happen. We have all learned that honesty is the most important "service" that we can offer our clients, and we vow to uphold our policy of honesty, no matter what.

Too often authors complain about publishers who are not attentive to their needs or wants, who gouge their book prices and leave little to no profit for the author, and who, in reality, just don’t care about the quality of the experience for the author. That is a shame! Publishing a book is an accomplishment that anyone should be proud of, and we are here so that you can enjoy this time, instead of pulling your hair out trying to get your publisher to comply with your wishes.

Authors should be in control of their publishing projects, but still be able to rely upon capable and knowledgeable individuals to provide creativity and quality. Authors should also be earning more back on their books, which is why Penned, Ink will never take a share of the profit from sales of any of their clients’ works.

Overall, we want to be the kind of publishing company that we, as writers, would want to publish our books with. A company that you can trust, and depend upon, as well as have a great experience with while making your dream of publishing your book come true!
