I know this piece is rather late in coming, but there were a few things which slowed the process considerably. I originally planned to write this piece about traditional publishing vs. self-publishing, highlighting the pros and cons of each. However, as I listened to my clients, it became evident to me that what they wanted to know was this: what are the differences between Print-on-Demand (POD) and Offset printing. So, I switched gears and began new research. While researching this topic, I have had a very hard time getting quotes from PODs that I feel can possibly be representative of this type of printing. I have requested quotes from some PODs and never received a reply. This alone gives me cause to believe that POD is not the way to go, but I still want to present my readers with the facts that originally spurred me to take this view. And so, I give you:
